New Installations
New Installations
Any new septic installation in the area first requires a site evaluation and permit from the local health district. The size of the system is normally based on the number of bedrooms in the home since that indicates how many people may be using the system. The permit from the health department will dictate the size requirements.
New installations:
The main components are the tank itself and a drain field. The tank has an inlet that is supplied from the house drain, and an outlet that goes to the drain field. Installations vary according to the soil composition, and the amount of gravel, sand. rock, etc.
The process includes prepping the installation area by:
- clearing trees
- excavating, leveling, and positioning the tank
- excavating the drain field (minimum is normally 6’ W x 6’ L)
- adding gravel and stabilizing the overflow drain to the field
- completing final inspection
- covering the tank and field and leveling the surface soil
- final connection to the house plumbing
There are many types of installations for home or commercial applications which vary according to each site requirement.
Testimonials
We have been working with KG&T for the last 7 months on a sewer issue. They are a great company. They are on time and knowledgeable and get the job done!
Had 3/4+ size rock delivered. 1 truck load, great price, paid over the phone. I called & 2 hrs same day they delivered. Quick service! Perfect size rock, it is packing well in the rectangled area I dug out for under an RV shelter where I will live full time in my 5th. Already looking great with plenty more rock to finish, might be extra for small path & outside my trailer door.
Highly recommend this company. They came out to my house to complete a complex sewer pipe repair. They were very knowledgeable and got the job done right. We will use them again.
I have an off-grid property outside of Bonners Ferry and have used KG&T for a number of projects. The most recent was to bury two cisterns and run 700 feet of water line to gravity feed water to the home I am building. I couldn’t believe how much they accomplished in two days of work. They were knowledgeable, courteous, and very efficient. I highly recommend them.
Started using this business for portable toilets at construction sites. Would highly recommend. All of our employees and subs say that their portable toilets are very nice and clean. Thank you KG&T Septic!
